Vacuum and Pressure

Discover how factors like volume, temperature, and density affect air pressure inside a closed volume.

For scientists aged 8-12.

In this activity, students will learn the origin of air pressure, and learn to relate pressure changes to environmental factors such as volume, temperature, or density. They will learn how to decrease the pressure inside a closed volume to achieve a rough vacuum. Finally, they will learn about real life experiences that are shaped by pressure and vacuum.
