Collaborations with Educators

We are passionate about improving science education, and one way we do so is through partnerships with current and future teachers. Our main project in this area is the Inquiry Institute for primary school teachers. Our lesson plans for the Inquiry Institute and many other events are available for download. We also regularly collaborate with members of the department of education at McGill to help us practice effective teaching methods while helping future teachers gain experience teaching physics.

Since 2015, we have partnered with the Lester B. Pearson school board and other outreach groups at McGill University, Astro McGill and BrainReach, to bring inquiry-based activities to groups of primary school teachers. Teachers learn new activities to use in their classrooms, and practice inquiry-based methods of teaching science in their classrooms.
